TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Last Updated: 13 February 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website insidethescore.com and the digital education services provided under the trading name Inside the Score (the "Services").
By purchasing, accessing, or using any of our Services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not purchase or access our Services.
1. Definitions
-
"Services" means all online courses, digital programs, memberships, communities, live sessions, downloadable materials, and related educational content provided by Inside the Score.
-
"Digital Content" means any course materials, videos, downloads, documents, recordings, or community content provided electronically.
-
"Platform" means any third-party hosting platform used to deliver the Services, including but not limited to Kajabi and Skool.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase our Services. If you are under 18, you may only access the Services with the involvement, consent, and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By purchasing, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
3. Account Access and Platform Use
3.1 Third-Party Platforms
Our Services are delivered through third-party platforms (Kajabi and Skool). By accessing the Services, you also agree to comply with the Terms of Service of those platforms. We are not responsible for technical outages, platform downtime, or security breaches originating from these third-party systems.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your account access with others. We may suspend or terminate access in cases of serious misconduct or material breach of these Terms. In such cases, refunds will not be provided.
4. Digital Content and Statutory Cooling-Off Rights
Important Notice for UK & EU Customers:
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you normally have a statutory 14-day right to change your mind and cancel a distance contract.
However, because our Services consist of Digital Content that is available for immediate access, by completing your purchase and accessing the content, you:
-
Expressly request immediate access to the Digital Content; and
-
Acknowledge that you thereby lose your statutory 14-day right to cancel the contract once the download or streaming begins.
This statutory waiver does not affect the separate "Money-Back Guarantee" offered under Section 8.
5. Payments and Billing
5.1 Payment Plans (Split Pay)
If you select a payment plan (e.g., "3 monthly payments"):
-
This is not a subscription that can be cancelled at will. It is a financing option for the full price of the course.
-
You are entering into a binding agreement to pay the full price in instalments.
-
If a scheduled payment fails, we may retry the payment method on file.
-
If payment remains overdue, we reserve the right to suspend your access to all Services and pursue the unpaid balance.
5.2 Subscriptions
For Services billed on a recurring subscription basis (e.g., monthly community membership):
-
Your payment method will be charged automatically at the start of each billing cycle.
-
You may cancel at any time before the renewal date to prevent future charges.
-
Access will continue until the end of the currently paid billing period.
5.3 Access Duration
Access to each Service is provided for the duration specified at the time of purchase. Where a specific timeframe is stated (for example, cohort duration or fixed-term access), access will expire at the end of that period unless otherwise stated.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Content
All Digital Content, course materials, videos, text, branding, and methodologies provided by Inside the Score are the intellectual property of Inside the Score. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal, educational use only.
You may not:
-
Reproduce, share, record, or resell our content.
-
Distribute our sheet music or videos to non-members.
-
Publicly display our course materials.
6.2 Your Content
You retain full ownership of any music, compositions, or materials you create and upload to our platforms. By posting content within our community (Skool), you grant us a limited licence to display that content within the community for educational and feedback purposes.
7. Live Sessions and Recordings
We may host live Q&A sessions or workshops (e.g., via Zoom or Skool).
-
Recording: We may record these sessions for the benefit of other students. By participating with your camera or microphone on, you consent to being recorded and to this recording being available to other members of the course.
-
Privacy: If you do not wish to be recorded, you must keep your camera and microphone turned off.
8. Refund Policy
8.1 General 30-Day Guarantee
For most courses, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are unsatisfied, you must contact us at oscar@insidethescore.com within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.
8.2 "Composer Training Studio" Conditional Guarantee
This specific program offers an extended 60-day guarantee, subject to the following strict conditions:
-
You must have actively participated in the course for at least 60 days.
-
You must have submitted at least one mission per phase to the Skool group.
-
If you meet these conditions and still haven't finished a piece you are proud of, we will provide personalized one-on-one support.
-
If, after our personalized help, you remain dissatisfied, we will issue a full refund.
8.3 Abuse of Policy
We reserve the right to refuse refunds where there is clear evidence of material misuse of the refund policy, including but not limited to repeated refund requests for the same or similar products, or demonstrable bad faith use of the Services (e.g., purchasing, downloading all materials, and immediately refunding, or repeated refund requests).
9. Community Conduct
Our community is a professional educational environment. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited on Skool or in our comments sections:
-
Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or hate speech.
-
Posting sexually explicit or illegal content.
-
Copyright infringement (uploading music you do not own).
-
Promoting other businesses or spamming.
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts in cases of serious misconduct or material breach of these Terms. In such cases, refunds will not be provided.
10. Educational Disclaimer
Our Services are provided for educational purposes only. We make no guarantees regarding your future earnings, career success, critical reception, or ability to become a professional composer. Your results depend on your own effort, skill, and external market conditions.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
-
Inside the Score shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of data or profit).
-
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
-
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
13. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform obligations under these Terms where such delay or failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to internet outages, platform failures, government action, natural disasters, civil unrest, or payment processor disruption.
